I have created an amorphous and geometric sculpture that delves into the realm of the body, in conversation with the geometrical facets of the built environment.

In my practice, I engage with the human body and its experience as the object. Through my process, I have become curious about how architectural space responds to amorphous forms.

As concrete and cement play a vital role in built space, I was curious to see how the key material I use in my practice – expandable foam – responds, as it is a material already used in the built environment.

I have used concrete to make the geometrical facets, while the bulbous form is made of expandable foam and melted sugar, in opposition to the solid, still space of the concrete. Our bodies are unique entities that respond to objects. I hope that the sculpture invites the audience into a unique visual conversation and experience in which the material is activated in its entirety.
