Since its inception 20 years ago, the annual Design Indaba has become a world-renowned meeting point of some of the bravest and brightest creative minds. Like the PPC Imaginarium Awards, the Design Indaba is a firm believer that creative and innovate thinking is one of our best tools in propelling humanity forward.

This year’s Design Indaba and conference will take place from 25 February to 1 March at the CTICC. As usual, the event promises a wide range of world-class exhibitors from a number of creative backgrounds. The conference’s line-up of high profile speakers is also worth noting. Larry Harvey, founding member of the Burning Man festival, Nando’s founder Robbie Brozin, renowned advertising exec Dan Wieden and celebrated artist William Kentridge are but a few names to look forward to. Tickets to the conference are already sold out, but your tickets for the exhibition and live nationwide simulcasts are still available on their website.

2015 will also be the PPC Imaginarium Awards’ first year as a Design Indaba exhibitor. Our presence at the event will be used to showcase the Awards’ best entries. Our finalists, who were announced at our exhibition opening in Johannesburg last month, are as follows:

• Sculpture - Mlonishwa Chiliza

• Industrial Design - Martin Bolton & Craig Tyndall

• Architecture - Ayanda Nstinga

• Jewellery - Chris van Rensburg

• Fashion - Bokang Lehabe

• Film - André & Anri Coetzee

The overall winner will walk away with a grand prize of R100 000, and will be given numerous exposure opportunities to promote their work. Who, in your opinion, would be the most deserving recipient?
