Creative Enterprises Hub aims to help up-and-coming creatives break into the business sector. Are you a creative? Apply now and gain valuable business skills, including getting organised, making tech work for you and personal development.
According to the Department of Arts and Culture, the creative sector added 562 726 jobs to the South African market in 2013/2014. The short lifespan of new small businesses, however, noted by the Department of Trade and Industry, shows that entrepreneurs struggle in the business’s early days. Creative Enterprises Hub has thus launched an exciting programme to help budding creatives enter the world of business.
Applicants must be English and computer literature, have access to a smartphone/computer (with data) and be able to attend weekly workshops in Johannesburg, South Africa. Of the applicants, 20 will be chosen for this thrilling 12-month business programme.
Creative Enterprises Hub notes the concerns of a large number of creatives, including legal admin, earning a profit, working with people and financial management. The new programme takes these into account, as well as the needs of the arts and the professions. The variety of learning formats on offer also means “participants learn where and when it suits them”.
Short-listed applicants produce a two-minute motivational clip that explains what they do, why they do it, whether it’s full-time and how they make their profits. Finalists will then pitch at a personal interview prior to the final selection!
Whether you’re a dancer or a musician, an author or a visual artist, Creative Enterprises Hub invites to you apply for this priceless learning experience!
Those who are interested are invited to apply via http://www.creativeenterpriseshub.co.za/. Applications close mid-May.
