Prince G. Mupopoma, who was born on 25 February 1992, is a Zimbabwean artist and fashion designer that graduated in 2014. His internship was at Power Six Clothing in Harare. Coming from a family rooted in the textile and antique industries with over 20 years’ experience, Mupopoma discovered that Power Six Clothing was the perfect environment to develop and hone his passion and expertise in design.
His debut collections were picked up for (tailor-made) production by Sage and was also showcased at Authentic Clothing and caught the attention of key press including other fashion industry promoters.
High-end fabrics, bold and fresh manipulations, constant and meticulous research go hand in hand with his ambition and will to create something new and modern. He combines his love for aesthetic with functionality, mixing fashion design with his industrial background and collaborating with artists outside or within the fashion world; in order to create a revisited self-discovery ideology.
Prince caught the attention of Zimbabwean fashion supporters such as Edgards on many occasions. His designed were picked for photo shoots and various music artists, local short films and showbiz factions dressing up both presenters and main the main artist. He then was interviewed about his work which one can find on his social media platforms.
